Chuck E Cheese

Abram has never had one of those "official" invite a bunch of friends, crazy, hectic, what just happened kind of birthday parties. Pretty much because of the previous description. But this year, I bit the bullet, I scheduled a chuck e cheese party and just invited a few little friends. It actually was a really nice night. Kind of hectic, but not terrible. Abram had a really great time. Here are a few pictures from the night. His birthday is February 1st, but we couldn't find a date close to his b'day to have the party, so the 18th had to do. He didn't care. Although, Friday morning on the way to school he was saying, "Today's my birthday. Oh Yeah." then he said so seriously, "Mom, am I 7 now?"
i started this blog post three weeks ago, but it took so long to upload pics I never posted. I gave up on loading anymore. What you see is what you get.
Abram and his best bud and cousin...Guy Braden. They are 5 weeks apart.
Abram got to spend a minute or so in the ticket booth launcher. He loved every second of it.

waiting for the blasting of tickets to start.

The whole reason he wanted a chuck e cheese party. The inflatable, red crown.

Octopus Flashlight

I've said this often, but before we had our second son Abram, I had this feeling that we needed to have another baby. It was this overwhelming feeling that this world needed the child that we were going to have. I know that sounds hokey, but it really was more than a feeling of just wanting another child. So, we got pregnant and were so excited to find out we were having another little boy. Our son Roe was around 3 at the time and he sincerely came up with a name for his little brother that he thought was perfect. The name was Octopus Flashlight. Roe really, really wanted us to name the baby this, but after much thought we ended up naming the baby Abram James. He has brought so much joy to this family and we never cease to be amazed at the funny things he's says, or the unique way he sees life. Every day is his best day ever. Happy Six Birthday Octopus Flashlight. We sure love you.

Abram LOVED his paci. I'm not sure who was more heart broken when we had to take it away; me or him.
Abram LOVES his brother. Abram was born to be a sidekick.

Sweet Boys.
I think this was Abram's 3rd birthday.

Abram has always LOVED candy. Poor Roe being the first child didn't even taste sugar until he was two. Here, I think Abram is just over a year eating a sucker. This was the worst trick or treating night. We lived in Summit and a couple in our church had asked us to come to their house so the kids could trick or treat. It was far away, and so we decided to stop by another church member's house we thought was close by. Curt swore that this was the house, but it didn't look familiar to me. He assured me this was it, so we get the kids out, ring the doorbell and after quite a while, a shirtless old man comes out and looks really surprised to see us...it was in the middle of nowhere. So, he proceeds to go in the house and find some candy and brings it for our kids. We laughed so hard when we got back in the car about how we just trick or treated some random, shirtless man in the middle of nowhere. FYI-don't ever trust Curt with directions or finding a house in the dark that he's been to once before in the day time.

This was yesterday morning. I took the picture as soon as he woke up. Poor guy. He just said, "too bright".

My friend Beth took this picture last summer. Abram was showing how he can float.
